Amanda Halbert, LAMFT
About Me
I got into this work because I believe people deserve relationships that actually feel good — not just functional, not just stable, but genuinely good. Whether that's the relationship you have with a partner or the one you have with yourself, that's what we're working toward here.
My goal is to create a trusted space where you feel safe to explore and unpack the deeper parts of you and/or your relationship. Whether you're navigating the aftermath of a painful relationship, working through attachment wounds, or trying to figure out what healthy even looks like for you, I'm here for all of it.
I work primarily with couples and individuals seeking deeper connection — with their partners, and with themselves. I have a particular passion for supporting relationships that don't fit the standard mold, including LGBTQ+ partnerships and ethically non-monogamous relationships, as well as those in the thick of high-conflict cycles or healing after infidelity.
My Approach
I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method to help couples understand the deeper needs and attachment fears driving their patterns — and to start responding to each other differently. For individuals, I bring the same attachment lens to help you make sense of relational history and build more secure connections going forward.
I'm also a Level 2 trained clinical hypnotherapist, which I use to support deeper processing and help clients access change that's sometimes hard to reach through talk alone. My work is collaborative, direct, and grounded in the belief that you already have more capacity than you think.
